About DTV
What is Duncan Tree Ventures? Duncan Tree Ventures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivering the In The Middle (ITM) workshop program — a 5-week emotional intelligence and leadership development experience grounded in Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory and iPEC’s Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment.
What does “In The Middle” mean? “In The Middle” captures the universal human experience of being between where you are and where you want to be. Whether you’re navigating a career transition, leading a team through change, or building emotional resilience — the ITM program meets you in that space.
Who does DTV serve? We work with professional associations, organizations and institutions, government agencies (through White River Consulting), and individuals navigating career transitions. Our approach is generalized across industries and customized to each partner’s specific context.
About Our Workshops
What is the 5-Week Core Workshop? Our flagship program covers all Four Pillars of Wholeness in weekly 60–90 minute sessions with groups of 8–15 participants. It includes the Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment assessment at start and completion for measurable growth tracking.
Can workshops be delivered virtually? Yes. All workshops are available in-person, virtual, or hybrid format. We work with you to determine the best modality for your audience and goals.
What are standalone workshops? Individual topic modules drawn from the extended ITM curriculum. These are ideal for conferences, professional development days, and retreats. Topics span all Four Pillars of Wholeness.
How much do workshops cost? Workshop pricing is customized based on group size, modality, and organizational context. We offer three development tiers for association partnerships: $2,500 (high-level outline), $5,000 (detailed outline with materials), and $7,500 (full targeted development and design). Submit an inquiry to discuss your needs.
About Our Methodology
What is the Energy Leadership Index (ELI) Assessment? The ELI is a proprietary attitudinal assessment developed by iPEC that measures how you show up energetically — particularly under stress. Unlike personality assessments that categorize you into fixed types, the ELI measures something you can change.
What are our Four Pillars of Wholeness? Physical Wholeness (brain health, movement, sleep), Emotional Wholeness (self-awareness, trust, connection), Spiritual/Mindfulness Wholeness (gratitude, meditation, alignment), and Financial Wholeness (credit literacy, emergency funds, career resilience). Spiritual/mindfulness serves as the integrating thread across all pillars.
What is Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Systems Theory? A research framework that recognizes human development happens within nested systems — relationships, teams, organizations, communities, and culture. We apply this to ensure our workshops address not just the individual but the systems surrounding them.
